Welcome to Little Ann Day Nursery

Healthy Meals & Nutrition
At Little Ann Day Nursery, we aim to provide meals that add to a well balanced diet. We now follow the new regulations set by the food agency and provide information on the 14 allergens contained in the dishes we provide. A chart is displayed on the notice board for parents to access.

Other Information
Safeguarding

The staff at Little Ann Day Nursery have a responsibility to be aware of Croydon Council’s Child Protection Procedures. This involves recognising, recording and reporting signs of child abuse and/or neglect. Ofsted and the Social Services Department in Croydon must always be advised of any child protection concerns that we may have. All our staff have current DBS certificates.
Holidays

The nursery is open for 50 weeks of the year. We close for one week over Christmas and one week in the summer. The nursery also closes for two additional days for staff training. Please note we also close for bank holidays and for days on which elections are held as the premises are used as a polling station. If weather conditions are not appropriate or there is an emergency the nursery will also be closed.

Uniform

We have our own uniform and book bag and strongly recommend parents to purchase them either through us or directly from the “Bubblegum” clothing store on 113, Thornton Heath High Street (0208 6832773). It is a more practical way of dressing the children and avoids fussy clothing which is difficult to manage during the various tactile activities we have. We would like all full-time babies and toddlers to wear their uniform as much as possible.
Toilet Training
We would like the nursery and the parents to work together to encourage your child to become potty trained.
During this process, accidents will happen and therefore we would appreciate it if parents could send sufficient changes of clothing.
