From April 2015, as a childcare provider we have been able to claim extra funding through the Early Years Pupil Premium to support children’s development,
learning and care.
We use the extra funding in any way to improve the quality of the early years’ education that is provided for your child.
If you are receiving any of the benefits listed below then our setting can claim the Early Years Pupil Premium:
The nursery is open for 50 weeks of the year. We close for one week over Christmas and one week in the summer. The nursery also closes for two additional days for staff training. Please note we also close for bank holidays and for days on which elections are held as the premises are used as a polling station. If weather conditions are not appropriate or there is an emergency the nursery will also be closed.
We have our own uniform and book bag and strongly recommend parents to purchase them either through us or directly from the “Bubblegum” clothing store on 113, Thornton Heath High Street (0208 6832773). It is a more practical way of dressing the children and avoids fussy clothing which is difficult to manage during the various tactile activities we have. We would like all full-time babies and toddlers to wear their uniform as much as possible.
Toilet Training
We would like the nursery and the parents to work together to encourage your child to become potty trained.
During this process, accidents will happen and therefore we would appreciate it if parents could send sufficient changes of clothing.
