We aim to provide meals that add to a well balanced diet. We now follow the new regulations set by the food agency and provide information on the 14 allergens contained in the dishes we provide. A chart is displayed on the notice board for parents to access.

From April 2015, as a childcare provider we have been able to claim extra funding through the Early Years Pupil Premium to support children’s development, learning and care.
We use the extra funding in any way to improve the quality of the early years’ education that is provided for your child.
If you are receiving any of the benefits listed below then our setting can claim the Early Years Pupil Premium:
Ofsted regulates and inspects all childcare settings to ensure that they deliver effective support for children through the EYFS. Following an inspection of a setting, the nursery receives a full report documenting the inspector’s findings. Please click below for our latest Ofsted report:
Quote from our latest inspection :
"This provision is good :
- Staff get to know the children well. They are responsive to their individual needs and deploy themselves effectively. Children feel safe and secure in the setting.
- Staff support children's understanding of a healthy lifestyle. For example, children enjoy a healthy diet, with food freshly prepared on site, and physical exercise. Children benefit from going out regularly in the fresh air, such as during trips to local shops and parks.
- Staff establish effective partnerships with parents. They share information to support children's learning between the setting and home to help build on continuity in learning.
- Children make good progress from their starting points, and are prepared well for their next stage of learning, including starting school."
The nursery is open for 50 weeks of the year. We close for one week over Christmas and one week in the summer. The nursery also closes for two additional days for staff training. Please note we also close for bank holidays and for days on which elections are held as the nursery is used as a polling station. If weather conditions are not appropriate or there is an emergency the nursery will also be closed.
We have our own uniform and book bag and strongly recommend parents to purchase them either through us or directly from “Bubblegum” clothing store on 113, Thornton Heath High Street (0208 6832773). It is a more practical way of dressing the children and avoids fussy clothing which is difficult to manage during the various tactile activities we have. We would like all full-time babies and toddlers to wear their uniform as much as possible.
We would like the nursery and the parents to work together to encourage your child to become potty trained. During this process, accidents will happen and therefore we would appreciate it if parents could send sufficient changes of clothing.
